have you ever fought a gag reflex when shooting a band, due to the overpowering stench? if not, shoot Watain next time they come into your burg. i make no judgment on how much 'they mean it, man' but one can certainly see the ridiculousness of their approach (animal skulls and rotting flesh on stage, and sometimes they toss blood onto the crowd). that said, it was a pretty fun (and very challenging) shoot as flash (except for one shooter, which i managed to capture in one frame, below) was banned, and dim, red light was pretty much all that the stage was bathed in, aside from the chemical smoke of course.
