i LOVE the thought behind this but i wish her shoulders and lower hair didnt disappear into the shadows. maybe its just me and im missing the style or concept of this (emulating a certain style or era?) but she IS very intriquing...

disclaimer: ive only ever shot formal headshots for the Air Force where there was a standard throughout the entire branch of the military...

Absolutely gorgeous portrait! Everything about this portrait is Benchmark... Bravo!

One little quibble and I realize I may be in a minuscule minority with this. I am a bit distracted by the circular catchlights. They are quite popular and bring lots' of compliments, so take my "quibble" with less than a grain of salt. I would die to ever shoot a portrait this good!

A large portion of portrait admirers and shooters are fond of circular catchlights. YouTube has quite a few postings on how to build portrait lighting equipment to create these catchlights. I just went back and looked at your portrait again. The model is stunning and your portrait is exquisite. This one is unforgettable.
