Since starting back shooting late February, after losing a year to medical problems, I've struggled with scheduling and have been forced to shoot way too many mid-day high sun sessions!! It's a real PIA!! But, my clients seem to be happy. That's all that matters at the end of the day, I guess.

At 130mm, I'm amazed at the background at f6.7... I'm sure the client was very happy with this image regardless of a few hard shadows!

What's his name and which record does he hold?

Pete Ramsay, while in the army in the mid 70s he was part of a 5 man team that broke the record for longest stint of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

A young woman with psoriasis.
The aim of this session was to make photographs which highlight and celebrate the marks on her skin.
After some discussion we chose to shoot in all in black and white with high contrast lighting to emphasise the dark patches against her lighter skin.

He's a good fellow to have around!

I don't enjoy posing people during a photo session, but I find that if I can get my subject talking and moving within the space that I set up, the expressions that spontaneously emerge end up being far better than anything I could manufacture from providing directions alone.
The downside is that sometimes they turn away from the light, or move out of the plane of focus, but when it works it really works.
Here Wayne was telling me about the time he was detained in Phuket for wearing a mankini in public.
