Hello,
Can anyone recommend a good drag and drop web creation tool and a host provider, affordable?

I've been using Hostmonster for years but their pricing and support has become quite poor. They stopped supporting their original webpage creation tool and are now using Weebly. It's easy to use but they limit the amount of pages you can have in addition to other restrictions. You can Upgrade to a paid monthly version that will then allow features their previous (free) website creation tool already had...

Thanks

I'd recommend using a self hosted installation of Wordpress for your site. It's nearly as simple as drag and drop and almost always looks so much better.

As for hosts, you have a lot of options.

Be sure to check the terms of service depending upon what sort of work you plan on displaying; some hosts like Blue Host ban any sort of nudity, even fine art nudes or paintings.

I would avoid using network solutions or godaddy.

Try to find a host that offers cPanel as a free part of their hosting package. Many if not most of them do nowadays, but some like godaddy don't offer it standard.

Hostgator is a popular choice and I used them for quite a few years but ultimately left about a year and a bit ago because I wanted to downgrade the plan I had to a more basic plan, because at the time I didn't need the dedicated ip address I was paying for. I wasn't overly impressed with the customer service during this and they wanted me to pay a fee to switch to a cheaper more basic plan. It was cheaper and quicker for me to just stop using them as a host and switch to a different company.

I now use GreenGeeks, and I've been mostly pleased with them for the last year. The uptime is usually very good and the speed is a little quicker than hostgator in my experience. Their hosting plan has cPanel (hostgator's plan does also) which has some drag and drop type editing programs included and also makes it easy to install wordpress.
