I know it's a cheesy frame but she wanted it... I really like the photo... what do you think?

I would like to see either the hand in the shot or out of it, not part of it.

A little more fill light from camer left as she has obvious dark lines under her eyes.

The actual B&W conversion is good, I like it. Her eyes are nice and sharp and I keep looking there.
Well done.

Smartly posed (arm cuts across creating a slimming waist effect), good light in terms of quantity, quality, placement (viewers eyes are led well). Only thing I'd have done differently is get a little more light into her eyes.

edit: oh, sorry: the B+W conversion is suitable and was well done; contrast is fine.

I agree with the hand pose. first impression was, she needed the rest room. Was it used for slimming effect? Possibly, but she's wearing black. So was it necessary? I don't know.
Otherwise the b&w conversion looks great.
