Has anyone used one yet? I can't find much on it. Especially a good shot of the of how it connects around the tripod socket. I know they offer it with their adapter, but it's listed on BH with out it. Their facebook page and website don't have very good pictures of it.

Thanks

Andy

Realized I didn't add a picture.

Thank you for the link! I'm surprised it never popped up on my Google search.

I think it would work with the Capture clip with a little modification.

Meh..too man grips out there without much of difference to stand out. Looks nice but I don't see anything special.

I think the design is rather unigue. It has some pretty cool features.

I made my own out of paracord though.

Just something simple. I know what I want to do with the next one, but this will do for now.

I saw...Cobra huh? I'm on deployment so I don't have access to Youtube a lot to see ties but ya mind a step by step if you can? I was looking into making one that's a bit wider ya know?

Made with 550 paracord. The main strap (black) has the inner strands removed and then fused together to make a loop. You need to measure the length for your hand. Next I used tan with the inner strands removed and made a Cobra weave for all but a half inch or so on either end. Then I took a full piece of black and tan and fused them together, inner strands were left in, and I did another Cobra weave starting about a half inch before the previous weave and ending and equal distance after. I did this to get a small taper and to get a little more size to it.

To install I looped it through strap mount on the Capture clip plate. I then did the same on the strap mount. You need to ensure you leave enough of a loop to be able to pass the plate through. Then mount the plate.

To make it wider you can do what I did with layering it.

EDIT: From a fellow active duty Navy type be safe out there!

Thanks man! I'm actually attaching mine to a Capture clip as well. Great for using my camera around the ship being the photog for them and all.

Then I highly recommend removing the inner strands for the main piece. It will be very very hard to get through the strap mounts on the capture clip's plate.

I'm going to be getting some op-tech uni loops or system connectors to make it easier to put on and remove. Since they have the plastic clips.

Good question...old thread, I know but I found it searching for straps. I actually use the matin neoprene fast access strap but sometimes I wish I just had a strap for my hands. Thinking on looking into different kinds, maybe a paracord based strap for added security.

Are there any paracord based wrist straps? I'm still new to all of this... recently found out about the paracord variant through http://www.lanyardcenter.com/paracord-lanyard/ (external link)
