She's beautiful and so are the pictures, Maigan. I love her eyes and the bokeh on the 1st picture especially. She kind of reminds me of Lady Gaga for some reason.

Honest question since I'm new at this: Is it acceptable practice to crop off part of the hair on top when taking headshots/portraits? Are there rules or guidelines on that?

Personally I think it's okay to crop a little now & then. It allows you to focus on other details within the frame.
