These shots are from the library at Yale University. I was on a trip up that way and stopped for an hour at Yale to check it out. The security guards inside the library were very nice and told me to go ahead and shoot as much as I wanted.

All the interiors are three exposures: minus two, zero, plus two...merged with Photmatix and then tuned with Photoshop Elements. The exterior is two exposures.

Enjoy

Yale is like rock and roll. It'll never die.

The alumni give them tons and tons of money.

It's actually as much a fraternity as it is a university. Theoretically, anyone can get the same quality of education sitting in front of a computer or attending any other university (within reason), but when people attend schools such as Yale or Harvard and graduate, they become part of a community of alumni who hire each other, do business with each other, network, etc. It gives you a level of access to the world you normally wouldn't have.

With only about 1000 graduates per year, it takes them decades to produce as many alumni as the average state school graduates in a year.

Put it this way: When you graduate from Yale, that certificate is like the golden ticket at the Wonka factory.

But tuition alone will run you a quarter million for a four-year degree (and who knows how much you'll spend on living expenses).

To get in you need:

Option A: perfect grades in high school, and outstanding SAT scores.

Option B: Super wealthy family that is willing to buy you in.

Thank you. bw!
