I'd like to see a web site that can animate what one would see, with times, from any point on earth within the partial eclipse locations. I've seen quite a number of web sites but none that will give usable details for other than those at the full eclipse path. One map seems to show me being at the edge. But how good would that be is the info I want.

The first link from the OP gives you animations... just specify your city. In addition to that, the page will also give details like the angles involved.

I really wanted to drive from Louisiana to west Texas for this, but wasn't able to work it out. I'm still excited about a partially eclipsed setting sun though. I'm looking forward to the images that will be presented on the forum.

As far as the best i can tell the best place to see it is will be in Tahoka.

So i figure to show up around there maybe about 7 or so and drive around to find the best spot

Hopefully you have an iPhone and bookmark that clearsky clock for Lubbock area before you actually leave . I see things are changing close to Lubbock but that map is really accurate within 2 hrs of the time you check it but hard to predict like yesterdays weather so if you are on your way check the radar ! Good luck again . I'll check from here around 3:3opm for a better accurate show . I know here in Midland it is suppose to be cloudy and scattered thunderstorms ! :(
