I am hung up..

I have the money for the Mark III and 1-2 lenses. I have bene in the market for a full frame and seeing the majority of the praise for the camera I am bent on the decision to buy.

Sold my 7D a few months back to a member here, picke dup a t3i so I could shoot, but it is not the same. I miss the 7D and from everyones reviews as well as having the cash it sound sliek I cant go wrong with the Mark III...

Help persuade me to buy or not haha, not bragging I pretty much told myself I would hold off until it became available locally and well one sat in front of my face and is on hold for me right now haha....

I was thinking of getting the 24-105 with it as a all purpose and the 70-200 2.8 IS.. Thoughts? Suggestions? Wait buy now? lol help

buy it, you know you want it. why do you need group approval to do what you want? just do it and get it over with. you'll be happy.

It's like a min-1D.. it's a spectacular camera. I wouldn't hesitate at all.

The 24-105 is a great lens to go with it and even though there is overlap with the 70-200, the 24-105 is a great all-around lens that you will want when you don't feel like carrying around the 70-200 monstrosity with you.

You've got the 17-40 for your wide end, so you'd be pretty well set.

Just buy it and be done with it. You will be very happy :) and yes the 24-105 is great when you don't want to lug the white beast with you. :D

I'm starting to think that there is a bunch of folks out there that can't buy something without input from everyone else- mostly - no one that they know or who has any vested interest one way or another. Heck, I'd ask the spouse before I asked someone here whether to buy something or not- actually, nope, I would not ( she'd say no anyways ).

Starting to think they should add a "like", "dislike", whatever buttons like as if it were facebook.

OP, personally, if you want it, waiting ain't gonna make it any sweeter later- just regrets that you didn't do it sooner. However, if you find yourself wondering how to spend your money, send it to me, and I'll take care of it for you.. I promise, I will do as well as the folks that have addresses on Wall Street.

It is excellent. Get the kit with the 24-105. As for the second lens....much as to do with what you shoot. If landscapes....get the 16-35 or 17-40. If long range wildlife, get the 100-400. If you need a mid range zoom, any version of 7-200 is excellent.

Absolutely get it!!! Worth every single penny. I sold my 7D and couldn't be happier. This camera has blown me away in every way imaginable.

Spend time in the Official 5D III thread and I promise you'll be convinced. :)

okay you twisted my arm....

After further research and pricing I am going to pick it up /w the 24-105 and the 70-200 2.8 IS.

I just missed completing my order before BH closed...errrr

I will hit buy 1st thing in Monday morning. Works out perfect as I will have it before my daughters 8th grae graduation from middle school and my sisters wedding. Can't wait and thank yu for the input.

The ultimate push for me was the fact some huge family events are happening and perfect timing for this bad boy. thanks all
