Does anyone know of photo club in the metro Detroit area?

Would like to hook up with other photog in the area that don't mind sharing there knowledge.

We've got a good one here in Grand Rapids - The Grand Rapids Camera Club. We meet the 3rd Weds. of the month except in July & August. It's a good time. We have different presentations and new discussions every month. We also get together for some shooting also.

Ahh, nope, but right across the street though.

Close to work, cheap rent. It's more an economics thing than anything else.

Cars are easier. There are a lot of them here, & most of the time they don't move! :D

What Software are you using? If you have the option (depending on what software you're using) I'd suggest checking out Nik silver efex pro. It's amazing for B&W!

I just have Elements 9/ DPP. Im looking at the NIK software after seeing some of the results others are getting, but I am very new to the digital darkroom so I am trying to read up on it here as much as I can. Also looking at getting lightroom...any suggestions are always welcome!

Any S.E. Michiganders (or anyone else) interested in getting together for a meet-up sometime later this spring or summer? I was reading couple of threads for meet-ups on other states, and thoght it might be kinda cool to get together with fellow shooters in this area and do something we might not do ourselves.

Be a great chance to meet and get to know other "locals" here on POTN and have some fun. Open for ideas on where and what to shoot, I know there are all kinds of interesting things in this area.

Your thoughts....

I'm in Lansing but I'd be willing to drive and meet up if we were able to get something set up
