...and Ben:

We have many fledglings of many species here now... and I still intend to do a post of yardbird babies only somewhen soon. Missy and Ben are feeding the nestlings of their 2nd brood and all their 1st-nest fledges are in the yard everyday too. So we'll hope to be back with more baby bird photos soon.

Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy these,

Kenn

Twofers are too cool! ;)

I love the Chickadee fledge, but all are wonderful photos Kenn. I do wonder however, how you manage to have a Nuthatch that stays around so long. Here it would take glue on the rail.

Thanks everybody for your comments, we are indeed fortunate to have many great yardbirds... and we love to share them here.

Thanks Lil, we've had at least one WBNH mating pair here for some years. The male we call Nathan is very acclimated to us and is bold to prance about the deck and even eat from our hands. When they take a notion to sun themselves on the deck, we can shoot them doing this at MFD, and they simply do not care. :)

This is Nathan's mate Natalie doin' it too:

We have several species of "deck birds" which indulge in these sunning rituals during the hotter months. In fact we have a separate Gallery of just Sunning shots here:

Thanks again all... we'll be back. :)
