I just received my NEC PA241W and would appreciate some help with calibration using the SpectraView II and the NEC puck.

I calibrated using the "Photo Editing" target and the result looks pretty good. Following is my result:

Some of the questions I have are:

1. When I switch from Photo Editing to the sRGB Emulation target using the SpectraView II application (or back again) the profile seems messed up unless I close the color managed application that I'm using (PS or Firefox) and restart it. I was hoping I could swap seamlessly between my Photo Editing target and a modified sRGB Emulation target to quickly see how different they are.

2. Is there a faster way to swap profiles than having to call up the SpectraView II application? I'm running Win 7 Pro.

3. I calibrated with the default 140 cd/m^2 luminance as a start. Should I be using something lower? Any guidelines would be appreciated.

4. Why does "Auto Luminance" say N/A? Is this for letting the screen brightness change with changing room brightness?

5. To get the sRGB target to resemble the Photo Editing target, which uses "Native" I changed the target luminance for the standard sRGB Emulation target to 140 and calibrated from there. Is this the correct approach?

Also, is there a list of color managed applications? The only things I regularly use that aren't color managed appear to be Windows Desktop, iTunes, Media Player and Media Center. PS is color managed of course but so is Office 2010 and Firefox. I switched from Media Player/Media Center to Quicktime so now the only reason I would need to change targets is if I need to increase Luminance to watch a movie.

Here's my result for my sRGB Emulation modified for a target luminance of 140 cd/m^2:
