Hey folks,

Looking for a decent variable ND filter, mainly for video purposes, but may be used with still shots as well.

Was looking around and saw the Opteka HD multicoated filters on ebay and amazon for $25? Anyone have any experience with these? http://www.amazon.com …TF8&qid=1337545441&sr=8-1 (external link)

Not many reviews of them anywhere to be found. Also, any other newer (i.e. cheap), variable ND filters worth the glass they are printed on? I see another brand, Zykkor, in a similar price range. I've already read the polaroids are junk.

Was also considering any affordable combo of CPL with ND filter, or a 3 ND filter set. I just see the variables being so much easier to use with video since you don't have as much play with shutter speed and aperture. Any no, I can't spend 400 dollars on a Sing-ray.

Thanks for any input!

Er, you do realise that all these VNDs are multiple polaririzing filters?

Go for the Light Craft Mark II if you are in a budget. 77mm will go around $130 compared to the Singh-ray which is up there.
