Solar Eclipse at Sunset

I spent the day today out at the local lake with the family. I stayed late to photograph the 90% solar eclipse that happened later. I shot a huge amount of photos using a 9 stop ND filter and will soon turn them into a movie file. It was great as I could see the sun spots during the eclipse using just my Tair 3 300mm lens and that ND filter.

Later, during the end of the eclipse, I took off the filters and shot some solar eclipse sunsets.

Thanks! It was a great experience being there for the eclipse. The only other one I ever saw was when I was in the second grade out on the playground

I've done a little more post processing work on the first image to bring out the lunar disc that is slightly visible in the first rendition. I also removed some lens dust specks from the image.

I may get this one large format printed for a wall hanging.
