Just purchased a 32GB Sandisk Extreme 66mb/s UDMA CF card for my 5D2. It formats ok in camera but the picture count on the lcd is capped at 999. Should be close to 1200 I believe. Will a firmware update fix this?

Mistabernie 'Camera Unicorn McSparkles'..  More info | May 21, 2012 13:42 | #2 The LCD only has space for three digits - there's no physical place to put the fourth digit. While NOT looking at images/playback, hit the Info button twice, and you should get a true count on the main LCD on the back, bottom right hand side (I believe). The 5D3 has a space for a 1 on the top LCD next to the original count (999), so now it'll display counts up to 1999. Donate if you love POTN! | Smugmug
