Just got back from a weekend in Cape May NJ for the migratory and nesting birds. I visited many of the hot spots in the area and couldnt pass up waiting for sunset at the aptly named Sunset Beach. Just off the shore there is the famous World War I wreck of the SS Atlantus also known as the Concrete Ship. CC would be very much appreciated!

A sign on the beach reads:

"S. S. Atlantus
Remains of experimental
concrete ship. One of twelve
built during World War 1.
Proven impractical after
several trans-Atlantic trips
because of weight
Broke loose during storm
(June 1926) went aground.
Attempts to free her were futile."
