ID assistance, Dragonfly

Sometimes the image comes in with the breeze. Was taking an iced tea break and suddenly had a new neighbor. This beauty presented several times giving me some time to experiment. Dragonfly seems so...generic...would like to give this guy/gal it's proper title. Any ID assistance appreciated and C&C always welcome and encouraged.

It's a type of dragonfly known as a skimmer. The boot-shaped cell in the hind wing places it in the Family Libellulidae. That's about the best I can do without examining it directly.

I'd be pretty happy with that capture, nice work.

Thanks all for insights and education. I recognize trying to make me smarter is a monumental task. Here's another from the set with Libellulidae seemingly cracking a big smile. There was something about this citrus branch that kept it content.
