I took this shot for a client who was looking for a dramatic shot of their new building. This was my first time shooting real estate. I was happy with the results. C&C please

Great perspective and use of light ... and, where exactly were you stood for this?!

Great image. You might consider removing the street signs but they hardly detract from the image.

I did not shoot from a tree. We initially framed the shot by attaching my camera to a monopod and moving around tethered to a laptop. The angle we ended up liking happened to be about 20ft off the ground. We were intially going to shoot off the roof of an SUV but ended up building a platform with tables and placing the tripod on top and tethering to our car. Here is a setup shot lol:

We did but the client wanted the lettering change from a no parking fire lane to say something clever. If you look closely or view the higher res on flickr you will notice the sign reads "studio 4a in back"

Yes, I saw the lettering. That is why it caught my attention. I guess it did what they wanted :)

It's a good start.

I would say:

Replace the sky or tone it down a bit
and fix the verticals.

While the sky is somewhat subjective, the verticals need to be fixed - as the building does not look structurally sound otherwise. The architect probably wants people to think that they are capable of creating and designing structurally sound buildings, so that is of the utmost importance.
