in a word, it sucks.

Why change something that wasn't broken? Okay, I'm old and resistant to change, but I'm still waiting to discover the benes to this method of uploading.

Thoughts?

Can't help you Kevan. I use LR, but have seen Flickr touting their new upload. What's so bad about it? I was actually thinking of trying it.

I use the desktop Flickr uploader...still works fine. Although I'm not sure why I don't use LR like Ryan...habit I guess.

Umm...gee, gosh, maybe I flew off the handle a bit fast. I keep my images on Flickr in sets and collections and I was snagged on getting the sets established per image whilst in the upload process. Dang if I didn't just figure it all out.

Boy, is this embarrassing.

The new uoader doesnt even work for me. It gets stuck at 100% everytime. Wheteher one image or multiples. They do have the option to use the old uploader though. I either use that or the desktop application.

No worries. I did much the same the other day on Photoshelter's forums. Couldn't figure out what I knew had to be a basic feature. Once I posted the question, of course, I promptly figured out what I was doing wrong.

I may look into Flickr's uploader. I like Lightroom's integration, but any time an image that has been uploaded to flickr is changed in any way, it re-uploads the image. In some cases I want that and in others not. I wish Lightroom had a way to select something like don't republish a changed image, or default to not republishing.
