I was over to Calumet Photography today and just for the heck of it inquired about renting the above mentioned lens. The guy gave me the weekend rate of $50, and since Monday is a holiday gave me till Tuesday to bring it back. 4 days! I've never handled one before, and really looking forward to putting it on my 7D!

Canon 6D & 7D. Panasonic GX85 and a number of ever changing lenses.

Well, be sure and fill us in on what you thought of the experience. It's an amazing lens.

Don't do it, unless you have a spare $2200 lying around. After you use it you will have to have it, it is an amazing lens,

Well, you won't want to take it off your camera once it is on there! Fantastic lens!

By the way, Canon offering £175 cashback on this lens in UK.....not sure about USA

You're going into dangerous territory! ;) Unless your shooting doesn't call for that lens I can just about guarantee you will be purchasing one in the near future. Absolutely love mine on the 7D.

If you do not have spare cash check out Tamron and Sigma versions... I LOVE my Sigma 70-200.
