sell 60D, get 70-200 f/2.8 IS MK II + 2x kenko?

Basically I have an opportunity to buy 70-200 f/2.8 IS MK II brand new for $2k.
I found myself rarely shoot 60D since I got 5Dc a year ago. Only exception is when I need more reach, I would shoot with 55-250 with 60D. Lately I've realized that I do need a 70-200 f/2.8 lens for its versatility on FF. I'll have to sell 60D and the EF-S lenses if I'm to buy the 70-200 MK II. However 200mm on FF is a bit short for me. I need something to replace the 55-250 + 60D combo.

I've seen sample pics of 70-200 MK II + 2x III and they look very good to me.
How about 70-200 MK II + 2x kenko? Is the PQ and AF better than 55-250 + 60D combo?

I have the 70-200II + 2xIII combo, AF is fast enough for me for most situation......it's definitely slowed and I don't think I can catch bifs with it.

No experience with the kenko TC....but I'd highly recommend the 2xIII, you get what you pay for really...

And of course the PQ is better than the 55-250, you are comparing a $2500 combo to a $150 cheapo kit lens...

Can't comment on the AF as I've never used the 55-250

Save up for the Canon 2x III Extender. It's well worth the cash over the Kenko one. The 1.4x is less critical, but for the 2X extenders it pays to go with the newest Canon one. It works perfectly with that lens. Trust me!
