I've narrowed down my choices to 2 options for my t2i. These lenses will be paired with the 55-250 and 50 f1.8

Option 1:
1. Sigma 17-50

Option 2:
1. 18-55 kit lens + sigma 30 1.4

I currently have both the kit lens and the sigma 17-50. Trying to decide if the sigma is worth it or if I should just get a sigma 30 1.4 for low light because during the day there isn't much different between the kit lens and the sigma 17-50. Is the drop off from the sigma 17-50 to the kit lens that dramatic or will I not even notice if I use the sigma 30mm in low light situations?

I don't shoot anything specialized, just want the best all around combination.

keep the Sigma 30 and get the Sigma 17-50...:)

The zoom is no replacement to the fast f1.4 prime.

You have that backwards, but otherwise I agree.... Keep the Sigma 17-50 and then save up for and get the Sigma 30.

I suggest Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS if you plan on staying cropped and pick up a Canon 50mm f/1.4 for fun DOF stuff. I guess I'm biased though as I never liked the idea of 3rd party stuff.

The Tamron 17-50 2.8 non vc is great bang for your buck in this focal range,
might want to give it a try if the sigma isn't performing well for you.
The price for what you get is an amazing deal.
And from personal experience the focus motor on it is not as loud as some reviewers have led on.
I almost didn't buy one for that exact reason.

Would the sigma 17-50 and 30mm overlap too much? Be too redundant?
