Could someone out there help me out with my question. When I tilt my Canon 20d to take a portrait photo, it seems that the side that would be the bottom of my landscape photo is darker than it should be. This happens when I am in my studio using my jtl lights. Any suggestions? Any replys would be appreciated at jpeacock@lakotanetwork.com (external link)

Thank you for your help.

Jerry

Please post a sample picture, including EXIF data. Also try with a 1/125th shutter speed.

You're probably approaching the max synch speed for your lights. Try a slower shutter speed (so the shutter doesn't close before your lights start to quench) and the problem should go away.

Maybe I should've explained the the reason behind the 1/125th - it's what Mark said - my post just wasn't quite so educational ;)
