Blown wing but do-overs are tough. If anybody can assist in ID, I always enjoy getting names right.

I thought you might be in Cali! I caught some of this same species about a year ago in Torrance at the Modrona Marsh Preserve. Believe others are right, a Carpenter Bee for sure. Much better than the shots I got. Well done.
