I couldn't decide which of these two to post, so here are both. Input is appreciated.

Nice, i always stay at convict lake every year during December-January, i love the place. It seems like your tree's/Greens are a bit to saturated.

I prefer #2 as well, the slope of the mountains on the left is very pleasing, if that makes any sense!

Thanks for all the input. I felt that while I liked the tree in #1, it seemed a bit distracting.

V-wiz, the green in the aspens is actually pretty close. The light was coming from the side and slightly behind the leaves, and the trees were only about 2/3 filled out, so they were really light lime green and very bright. It was a spectacular day,... except for the howling 35-40 mph wind.

Sometimes center symmetry is just great. Like the second best.

The second one has that calming effect... sort of ironic since the wind was blowing at 35-40MPH. I like it a lot.

I was expecting to see the shot from the spillway...LOL! I was there in October to photograph the fall colors. Sure looks different in green. :)

Well Mike, I do have some from the standard spots, but the chop was too heavy to get much reflection that day.

I like the composition of number two better. You have the whole lake, the valley sides are placed well, and the colors of the grass, water, sky and rocks is much more vivid.
