Deal seems to be dead for now...

Saw this on slickdeals, seems like a good deal! Figured I'd post since I could not find a thread on it...

Probably too much zoom for a crop body for everyday lens, right?

That is what I use on mine and you have the wide angle covered with the Sigma when you need it.

Thanks. Thinking about selling my Sigma 17-70 and getting this one instead. The only thing Sigma is 2.8 on wide end and this one is 4, so not sure how well it will work for indoors. Do you used your indoors at all? Flash is required I guess.

I recently sold my 24-70 because of the size weight so this is very tempting. I have an upcoming trip to disney coming and this lens would be perfect.

Thanks for posting this I could not resist. I had one long ago and it was a nice lens. For this price it's hard to pass up.

FYI: TopCashBack.com gives 6% cashback for Adorama purchases (instead of 3% of Mr. Rebates). I never used them though, just found them.

Wow that's a good deal, too bad I just paid $850 for one out of a 5D MKIII kit.

2.8 was not really fast enough indoors for me anyway and I love the images that this lens produces.

Thanks. Thinking about pulling a trigger on it. By the way, where in MA are you? I am in Chelmsford.

It might not be across the board but the only time I ordered from Adorama using Topcash, they didn't even register the click-thru. Was an item over 1k which meant almost $60
