This is my first time posting a picture here.

I had a photo shoot at my home studio this morning and this is one the results.

Please be kind but honest.

Way overexposed...numerous blown-out areas.

That picture is 'hot' in more ways than one

I double check and I don't have blown out areas, it is a high key picture. All the bright areas have enough definition.

Maybe a slightly darker background would have defined the blonde hair better.

The image is not blown out but it is too bright in her blond hair at shoulder length. I'd darken just a bit there to bring out some more detail and I would brighten her arm to match the overall skin tone.
A few more details:
Smooth out the horizontal seam in the background.
Clone out the spot on the left side of her nose.
Darken the irises of her eyes and her eyebrows
Eliminate the nose shadow running to the corner of her mouth
Clone out the red lesion on her arm
And finally - last but not least - loosen the crop so we can see more

Well, the crop, I have to post on the Glamour or Nude
I can smooth out the horizontal seam, but it is actually the chair, Should I do it or not?
QBX good point, I will do that, this picture is almost out of the camera, so I need to follow your advice for developing.

I am glad I didn't make so many mistakes, this was my first solo studio shoot. I have attended some meetup dot com shoots, but this time it was all me.
I will post another picture where she is back facing a mirror and I have rim light to her side. She is looking at a handheld mirror and you can see her face. It looks amazing to me, but you know I am bias to my own pictures .

This was taken at noon at my home studio.
Canon 5D II, Profoto D1 500, zoom with a 10 degree grid.

#2 Is a lovely shot. I can't comment on tonality etc because I'm now on a poorly calibrated work computer; but she is gorgeous and you have done her justice in both shots.
And yes, I'd clone out the chair line; since you are going for a very hi-key look I'd wash out the entire background.

Really like #2. Looks like a fun shoot.

Yes, I will need to make those corrections. It is almost out of camera.

I made small corrections in Camera raw (white balance, lens correction), cropped and then I used Photoshop to convert to JPEG.

I will start making the corrections. I know this type of picture is not for everyone, but I am big fan and also white on white. when the model is painted in white, dressed in white with a white background.

I guess I'm not a hi-key guy but I really like the reflection in the mirror shot.

I like the hi-key look, good work
