Hi, Just want some confirmation please.
I am going to install a new H/D on a computer that already has CS5 installed, is the registration stored on the H/D or somewhere else?
I also have CS5 via upgrade from CS, CS2, CS4, so will I have to install all of them again before the CS5 upgrade disc?
Many Thanks
Russ

Many Thanks,
Russell.

Do you have an Adobe ID?

If so, have you registered your CS5 install online?

If so, then yes, the license is recorded with your Adobe ID and can be recovered by logging into the adobe website.

If not, then go and register :)

So long and thanks for all the flash

If you are cloning your C: drive to a larger drive, you shouldn't have any issues.
Is that what you are doing? It's a little unclear for me.

Hi, Thank you for replies. I am replacing the H/D completely as I think there are issues with the one I have installed, so as I read from here and on another site I have to or maybe better to do a complete re-install of everything, plenty of time on my hands so would not be a problem.
Thanks Again
Russ

Many Thanks,
Russell.

You don't need to reinstall everything.
You can use a cloning program (external link) to move everything over to a new HDD.
Install the cloning software and create a boot disk.
Shut your system down.
Hook up the new HDD.
Boot to the boot disk, and clone the old drive (source) over to the new drive (target) and tell the software to expand the partition for the full size of the drive.
When it's done, shut down again.
Disconnect the old drive and boot up--you should go into the BIOS the first time and make sure the new drive is being recognized and it's set as the system drive.
You might want to deregister Photoshop before doing this and after things are up and running, register it again.
