It came after dark yesterday. Now it's cloudy with snow on the ground, and 22 degrees.:(
Look at my new signature I have on the DPreview Forum. Do you like my *IS*?

Congrats, Rocky. The 400f5.6 is one killer lens. As for your home-made "IS" unit, I don't think it's going to sell well but hey it seems to work for you! Also, I think your gear needs to be vacuumed.

WOW! congrats on the lens, tell me which one is heavier, the bigma, the 400 or the IS when first opened? I realize the IS gets lighter the more it's used.

Haha! Howdy, Sandy. The Bigma is almost twice the weight of the 400, but both get lighter for every IS I drink.     I just got through nailing a Helicopter that I will be posting tomorrow.

Join the club, got mine Tuesday but havent had a chance to use it - day off tomorrow so will post some shots.
Looks like you just need a real wide angle now to complete your collection - maybe the Canon EFS 10-22 unless you plan to go FF later?

I don't plan on getting any EF-S Lens. I *might* go FF, but I doubt it. I love the 1.6 crop factor. I am thinking of getting the Sigma 10-20, though.:)

Rockyc2,

congrats on your new lens and good to hear from you again ... seems like your gear list has grown a bit since your 'gator days

... btw, I still fondly remember some of your pictures you took with that little compact ... what was its name? Pro90?

Best regards,
Andy
