The 1st one is a Lounghorn Beetle.

racketman Cream of the Crop More info | Dec 08, 2005 13:59 | #4 dont know what country you are in but the nearest to that beetle in the UK I can see in my books is something like Brachinus Crepitans so yours might be another type of Ground Beetle. Toby

This is really a great start, you have posted two very nice captures. The first is great, except for the size. If you could keep it around 800 pixels wide, it would make it easier for most to see it without scrolling. The second shot is very good. Did you add an saturation to the image? It seems a little intense. Dennis
