More info | May 29, 2012 03:43 | #4 Don't spend vast sums on a monopod, cheap and cheerful is perfectly good enough. I happen to like a ballhead on mine, but depending on the subject matter it may be possible to attach the camera directly to the monopod. Richard

monopod on Amazon and wondered if it would be sufficient. Also, is it necessary to have a head or can I just screw the monopod into the camera. I'm only looking for something to help me steady the camera at the highest zoom. Won't be using it for any other cameras.
