I've imported images into LR4 and have a question about how ratings show up. Anything I rated with x number of stars (1-5) in Bridge shows up fine. For some reason the color ratings didn't go through. Am I missing a step or does this just not happen?

Thanks in advance.

Just wondering why, if you have LR, you're worried about what Bridge is doing?

That is a valid question that deserves an honest answer. The answer is... I have no idea. That answer, along with random outbursts of profanity, will be used extensively throughout my software explorations.

I bought LR4 for a class that doesn't start until the fall. I figured I'd fire it up and do some reading/playing so I'm not chasing my tail when school resumes. For the past few semesters I've been struggling to keep up with PS stuff so I'm hitting the books on my own to get on track.

I labled some images with red in Bridge as I wanted to play with them later and was hoping they would be recognized in LR4 with the red marker when imported.

Finding them manually shouldn't be an issue if that is the best way to go.

Photos that had Color labels assigned in Adobe Bridge then imported into Lightroom 4 should show a small white badge in the lower right corner of the thumbnails in the Library module's Grid view.

To restore the Color labels, go to Metadata > Color Label Set and choose Bridge Default.

The reason they don't show up initially is that Bridge uses Color Labels in a different way than Lightroom. Choosing the Bridge Default setting makes the metadata generated by Bridge readable in Lightroom so that the labels are now interchangeable between the two applications.
