You guys probably know about Frank Doorhof, he's one of the Kelby instructors. Anyways, his work is just... spectacular.

His Live in Boston workshop videos is being sold for 40% off. It's a steal!

Here's the post with the deal:

Watch his episode on TWIT Photo. Great stuff and I learned a lot. He made me want to get a light meter. I would have, too, but I sold my gear.

For $26 you can find out first hand. Worst case scenario is you wasted your lunch money for Thursday and Friday.

The video is a pretty direct production of a workshop, there isn't much by way of production value to spice up the video presentation. But it's packed with info and Frank's methodologies. (You'll probably want a light meter after you're done). 2 hours of instruction by a respected photographer for $26 isn't a bad way to spend a little dough. His sample images here sometimes seem overbaked to me, but that's not important. What is important is the theory and instruction he teaches is sound and worth understanding. A lot of time is spent of light crafting with strobes in the sun and some time on general strobe practice, all of which is great info if you're into portraiture, especially of the glamour variety.

/end aimless rambling review
