Duxford Jubilee Airshow 2012

Hi everyone, it was a scorching hot day at Duxford, and crystal clear skies made for challenging photo conditions.

I would like to add that this was my first attempt at airshow 'aerial' photography, and I'm not made of money so picked up a budget old school tele lens last year with airshows in mind, the Canon 100-300mm 4.5-5.6 USM for £100 from ebay. Considering how much I paid for this lens, I am quite satisfied with its performance, though most of these probably require more sharpening up than I can be bothered with.

Sorry, but in the "Share" areas IMAGE POSTING RULES only allow 2 attachments by the OP per thread, OR 8 embedded (linked) images, OR a combination of both totaling 8 per thread. (Maximum 1024 pixels on any side.) You can always just post a link to more, though, or better yet, post a link to a gallery so we don't have to click on each image link.
Some exceptions are group threads, like "Show Me...", "Post your best...", equipment reviews, Tutorials, etc.
You may add a few additional photos if requested, but only in a reply to other
member's post and request.

I'd say you and your budget lens did very well. Props are spinning & the planes are sharp enough for me. Well done.
