This set up looks good too. No wires and all that mess. :)

IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

Honestly there's no mess at all with the MBP to ACD. You get the one cable connection coming off the display with MagSafe power, Mini Displaport or Thunderbolt and a USB to power the hub on the display. I've got a 27" ACD hooked up to my hackintosh and a 24" ACD sitting beside it for my MBP.

I'd venture a guess that iMac's are next on the retina list... they'll pave the way for Retina ACD's and that's likely why they weren't announced at WWDC I think. All the parts are there for an iMac refresh with a spec bump but I really think they'll take the next leap with Retina.

Also - drop the 768gb SSD if you can or you'll be waiting forever for the thing to ship! 512gb should be plenty for you and you've got USB3 and TB for those nice external storage units (Go Pegasus R6!).

There used to be Canon gear here but it disappeared.

 It's Mac fever! ;) Although, the current iMacs don't have retina displays. Will Apple update it too?

I hope they do! Retina cinema display! Drool!

I want uniformity! I can sell off the EIZOs and get all retina displays! I would keep it simple too. One iMac and another 27 incher monitor.

Apple makes it so easy

I'll have to put some thought into it. I haven't been gaming lately and going MAC might the best move for me.

Oh yeah! ;) I will have to visit the Apple store this week to check out the new MBPs on display. If the retina display is just as good on my iPad 3, I can certainly imagine it on a 27 incher! :)

Who the heck would spend crazy wads of money for a 768mb SSD? That's almost pointless, unless you only have one drive bay. And even then, I'd rather go with a 256gb SSD and hook up a USB3 drive.

I want to see it in person! But if a retina iMac is announced I will be all over that! That is truly what I want :D

Unless you've got over 500gb of applications (who does?) that are regularly used, a massive SSD is just absolutely wasteful.
