Nah i am modest. A lens will be fine :D Mandarin will be invaluable to you regardless of what major you choose. Trust me. It is in very high demand and you will be able to apply it to anything you choose to do in your life.

Well, I guess it will help! I barely know any spanish well I know spanish but nothing great so I probably should learn that first haha! Otherwise I think I would have more fun with taking mandarin.

All about where the next rising economies are. Combine that native language with what you are doing and you will be a cut above the rest :D You could literally jump into any industry if you wanted to just because you would have the language knowledge. I have seen it happen first hand.

What does the SAT go up to now? It was 1600 when i took it.

They just added the writting requirement from the SAT 2 to the SAT 1.

Before it was 800+800 = 1600, now it is 800+800+800=2400.

I think it switched around 2007?

that would be awesome then :D

Either way, I will have a job if I go into actuarial sciences, but I guess it could be the difference between making $150k and 1 million  I doubt I'd be making $1 million but can't we all dream :D

Basically what I would have gotten (with my 27) is a 1210-1230 on the old SAT, or an 1820 on the new one (just looked up).

If you can afford a ferrari then 10MPG is not an issue ;)

Doesn't change it is a downside. So you are saying if you had a choice between two Ferrari cars, that are identical, except one got 10MPG and the other got 30MPG, you would not choose the 30MPG vehicle?

Not including a mRAW and sRAW on such a high resolution camera seems like an oversight to me, on the other hand having a entry level camera that shoots 24MP but doesn't have DoF preview, articulating screen, and auto exposure bracketing among other things seems like a stupid idea as well.

Now I really like the D800, and I like in general what Nikon is doing (and rumored to be doing) recently, but they have the glaring issues that seem so easy to fix yet they do not... makes ya wonder...

Work harder Jake. ;) College admissions are more competitive than ever, anything sub 2100 (or 1400 by the old standard) is not gonna cut it if you want to go to any top 100 school.

I don't know what they are planning to do, but when I took it we still had the writing portion it was just a different test. We had the SAT 1 which was math and English. Then we had the SAT 2 which was writing, math, and a subject of your choice.

The only top 100 school that I wanna go to is Penn State, otherwise the others are ones I can get into. I'm choosing schools only with actuarial sciences though, and most of them I can get into easily (penn state is the only one on my list that I will need to improve for). I may or may not take the ACT one more time, if I do I'd hope to get around a 29 or 30 which is almost equivalent to a 2k.

Well the only SAT II I am probably going to need to take is Math. Otherwise I don't really think I'll need to take another SAT as I kinda suck with the SAT as my score jumped 200 points with the ACT (comparing both that is).
