Several scenes seem to be a bit shaky. In scene 1:19 a little too much room above heads and in scene 2:23 way blown out if it can't be recovered I'd make it black&white. I'm sure the couple with love it. Overall good job we look forward to seeing more of your posts.

I don't know if you secured the rights to that song or not, but if you didn't, I can tell you those people will come after you. They came after me for using it. It wasn't a big deal - they just asked that I buy the rights to the song. It's $50 on www.themusicbed.com (external link). Just a fair warning. It was my mistake not to pay for it in the first place and they were pretty nice about it. I learned a lesson for only $50. Could have been worse.

They found my website through my Vimeo page, and found my e-mail address through my website. Their e-mail was very polite, actually. They didn't put a timeline on me paying or anything, just asked that I do so.

I found this site: www.themusicbed.com (external link) after I used that song, and noticed that song happened to be on it. Most songs are $49. I will be using that site going forward. If you build the $49 into your client's price, it's not a big deal. True, you won't find all the songs you want. But there are some good ones on there, and at least now I can sleep at night.

Truly heart-stopping, as a new videographer, to see an e-mail in your inbox from the musician you're ripping off (let's be honest, that's what I was doing). Like I said, I was lucky to get off with a really easy warning.

Good but I found the camera movement a bit off putting. If it was steady it would be better.

Thanks for the feedback.

We're planning to pick up some stabilizing equipment soon, but everything in the video was done either handheld or on a monopod. Hopefully we'll be able to pick up a glidecam before our next shoot.

I did purchase the rights to the song via themusicbed, but I do have a couple licensing questions.

1) This was a wedding for a close friend, and as mentioned, it was our first SDE, so we did not charge for our service. Am I still required to purchase the rights to the song? I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I bought it, but am just curious.

2) How do you obtain rights to use a song not listed on themusicbed? I haven't found any other sites that allow me to purchase licensing rights.

I certainly hope you are not charging money for that video. very shaky, the whites are not balances, some shots are not straight when they should be. your exposure is un even throughout the video, when you tried to "stabilize" the walking part it looks horrible with the software shake and blur (its best not to have used that at all)

Its a good early attempt - http://www.5dfilmmaker.com/ (external link) is your friend, go out and shoot more. learn how to use an 18% grey card.

I already stated earlier in the thread I didn't charge for the service. Thanks for the feedback.
