At least my LR4RC2 is telling me it's available. When I go to the site though, it's not listed. They must have pulled the trigger on the update flag a little too soon.

I would assume it's imminent though

I'm downloading it from Adobe's FTP site.

I've had it for an hour or so, and I can already tell you that there are huge improvements in the responsiveness of the sliders, particularly the luminance noise slider. This was a big sore spot for me, even on 4.1 RC2, but I'm a happy guy now in that regard.

Interesting -- I've noticed that when I download stuff lately, the Default browser that gets used is Firefox, even though I'm linking with either IE or Chrome. I guess it's because I had recently upgraded my Firefox!

Somebody mentioned to me the other day that Firefox had become their default browser after an upgrade. I wonder if Mozilla just quietly defaulted that little "Make My Default Browser" checkbox in the installer to checked...it IS my default, so I wouldn't have even noticed when I upgraded.

I hope this holds true when I update. It's difficult to make adjustments when you have to pause for 5seconds to see the resulting render. This was never an issue for me with LR3.

I risk the chance of sounding corny, but I downloaded the update. I had some files to be uploaded to LR, so I did it just after downloading the update. I cannot believe how much faster the process is. I uploaded 300 images in less than 30 seconds - from my 5D3 and 7D, just about 8 gigs is the file size.

Lets see how the rest works.
I did try to upload images to flickr - this update does not address the issue, which is LR4 cannot upload the images directly to flickr.

just a few of my thoughts...
Pierre

Well, sometimes I see a brief pause, but nothing anywhere near 5 seconds, although sometimes there is a lag in random places. But that occasionally happened with LR3 as well.

This happens with a lot of software and the great variety of systems -- different folks have different issues!

But, hopefully the new release will have something good for everyone! I've done the installation but haven't fired it up yet!

What is also faster is the rendering to .tiff for those who don't have CS6, which is good since it use to take a considerable time to render one file

Ooops, actually...take that back about the .tiff file, ACR7.1 is now fully compatible with CS5 i.e. it doesn't produce the .tiff file, it is an editable RAW file i.e. CR2
