I'm looking for a longer camera strap - then the standard strap that comes with canon dslr

i have a nylon one which i added a couple of old mobile phone wrist straps - but it has a lot of metal work on it , and on my pro1 was not an issue - but don't want to damage the new 60D

any suggestions for good quality - but reasonable price - or a method to extend the canon strap

I'm in UK

The POTN Store above in the red strip on the menu bar has the OpTech neckstrap that has extenders. I buy extenders for all the cameras as I never know how long I need the strap. Just buy the regular strap in any color they have and order the extensions. The POTN straps are very comfortable and help our forum here.

+1

I had the CPS Strap and it was too short in my opinion.

Good choice. I actually just purchased another POTN Pro loop for my second body a few mins ago.

Best,

OpTech sells the hardware to make that into a sling...and the hardware is relatively inexpensive.

In case someone else is looking and has thoughts like mine, I'm very interested in a Wapiti strap. Purchasers can choose the length of the strap when they order. It's intended for photojournalists.

Many people report that they like the Industry Disgrace strap by Crumpler (sp?) It does look interesting in stores.

I have used a Black Rapid strap for a while. I don't like the modified 'biner they use to connect to the camera. I do find the strap comfortable. With hindsight, I wish I had bought a LumaLoop when they were available instead of the BR strap. I'm not about to spend more money, unless I sell the strap I have....

Other makes? Carry Speed, Luma Cinch, I'm sure there are more...

The main reason I like the OpTech, POTN strap is the feel of strap with so much weight on my neck. I often carry both my 5D2 with 24-70 and my 7D with 70-200 2.8 IS II on me. The OpTech straps are very comfy even when it's hot and my neck is all sweaty.
