I spent two days photographing a few of the 50+ hummingbird species using a multi-flash technique developed by Greg Basco and American who now lives in Costa Rica.

These were taken at either Catarata del Toro or Bosques de Paz (Cloud Forest)

1. White-bellied Mountain Gem male

2. Male Violet Sabrewing - My personal favourite species

3. Two for one - Green-crowned Brilliant and Purple-throated Mountain Gem Females

4. Rufous-tailed Hummingbird

Wow!! These are fantastic, awesome, phenomenal shots. I can't believe it. You appear to have saved the best for last, and the ones preceding these were stunning.

Thanks Ian. Greg Basco really deserves a lot of credit for these. As I mentioned when I first posted the images he has worked at this multiflash technique for some time now.
