Hello all. Just wandering if its possible to upgrade the LCD screen to one with higher resolution??

It is possible, you just have to upgrade the rest of the camera along with it. :)

Probably wouldn't be a good idea to pop something like that off to begin with. I agree with SIRRITH. Just upgrade the entire camera body. It'll be cheaper.

Interesting question... I'd say look at a couple of things first:

1: Did Canon make a higher resolution screen in that size? From what I remember...no. The 20D/30D were the same size and same resolution, and by the time they went up in resolution, they also went up in size...soooo that pretty much is your answer.

2: However, if you DO find a higher resolution Canon screen with the same dimensions...does it have the same connections? Also, can the 5Dc's brain handle a higher-resolution screen?

I'd say the likelihood of this working out for you are slim to none, but I'd concentrate on these questions...
