May 31, 2012 14:44 | #3 Well the problem is that it doesn't always fire using a flash hotshoe cord...I've tried both the Canon OEM cable and a 3rd party. I even wait 10 seconds between shooting and about 25% of the time it does fire. I even cleaned all contacts. Does your fire consistently on a cable? Minolta Rokkor and Canon can live together in harmony.

Full power every time though because it's not TTL. It fires fine on-camera too. One that uses 2AA batts and has either both E-TTL and Manual pwr settings or Just manual power settings. I have a Vivitar shaped like this and it's going on the fritz and I need the same shaped unit to adapt to my macro rig.
