Hey guys,

I'm looking for a 3rd party only Canon flash that is shaped like this Metz: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …24AF_1_Digital_Flash.html (external link) One that uses 2AA batts and has either both E-TTL and Manual pwr settings or Just manual power settings. I have a Vivitar shaped like this and it's going on the fritz and I need the same shaped unit to adapt to my macro rig.

Thanks,

I have that same vivitar that I'd be willing to sell you for $25. No manual settings though :( PM me if you're interested.

Well the problem is that it doesn't always fire using a flash hotshoe cord...I've tried both the Canon OEM cable and a 3rd party. I even wait 10 seconds between shooting and about 25% of the time it does fire. I even cleaned all contacts. Does your fire consistently on a cable?

I don't have a cable to try, but it fires with my RF-603's consistently. Full power every time though because it's not TTL. It fires fine on-camera too.
