These were shot at 400 plus 1,4 tc. Please let me know what you think of the crops.

Great shots Paul. Just starting to get a few avocets down our way. I love it in spring when they get those rusty heads and necks.

Wonderful shots.Those birds are like a bunch of fencers !

(I guess some time ago we already had a discussion about the rectilinear image distortion your lens is afflicted with, as evidenced on the bills of the birds ;) )

Nice shots, Paul, and interesting bird. As they are I like the first best but with a clone brush I think the second would be just as good, maybe better.
