Hi All!

last week I did my first studio/portrait shoot.

All went mostly fine, but I came up on a small hitch..

I was using two standard Interfit lights, these where working exactly as expected. There was a point in the shoot I wanted to use an additional flashgun to pick out a some details. Once I incorporated the flashgun and took a shot only the flash guns light was in the shot, while the interfit lights where flashing they had somehow become out of sync with my flashgun and my camera was not picking up the light from these, it was only seeing the light from the flashgun.

All the lights/flashgun where being triggered using Pixel Kings.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

If your "added flash" was on-camera, chances are your Interfits were being triggered by the ETTL pre-flash and were firing before your shutter actually opened.

Whenever you work with a mix of lights, it's best to work in manual mode so nothing gets confused...

Ahh!!!

ETTL, I think you might have nailed it!

The flashgun was off camera, but Pixel Kings (I think) revert to ETTL unless you tell them otherwise. I didnt change it, I think that must have been the problem.

School boy error!

thanks :)
