Horizons are off, #1 slight, #2 for sure. Very nicely done. The reflections are surreal.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

photoguy6405 Appreciate both comments very much. Anything specifically that makes it look fake to you? Or anything to improve on with the photo? I've been thinking about blowing up that beach shot also to frame it. Gotta see with that one.

The only way that I can think to describe it is "over processed". Almost like a really slick animation instead of a photo. The water, for example, looks like a sheet of stainless steel. Looks nice, just doesn't look like water.

Long exposures are done in camera as I assume you know. Which is why I'm confused as you would call this effect a post processing problem..

According to the Exif info, this is a 300 second exposure! That's why the water looks like 'stainless steel' or 'frosted glass'.

I was trying yesterday to get a similar effect at the Brooklyn Bridge, but I stayed at 30 sec rather than going on Bulb. Some long term variations due to current can still be seen in the water.

photoguy6405 Like what was already said, it was just a really long exposure, very little PP was done to this shot actually. I could understand the surreal look of it though, so I get where you're coming from.
smooth3000 Thanks for the kind words :-) Appreciate it
MakisM1 I've only been to the Brooklyn Bridge once, and for some reason, I didn't take a long exposure there. I've regretted it since, but I'll get back there to get a couple minute shot in lol

Like the colors of 2 better. 1 has some interesting components. I like the stars on the bridge lights.

Todd Lambert lol Thanks, that's pretty much what I did. I was in the middle of a long exposure when the cops started making their way down the rocks and I waited for my shot to finish to start getting my stuff together. They could wait a couple of seconds.
djtuan Thanks you very much :-)
bluelight Thanks, I'm partial to #2 also
Dashome I agree, color-wise, I like 2 better also, but there are just parts of 1 that I love
Samsan Thanks, I got a couple of more on my Flickr account, take a peek at some of those too ;-)a
