T2i & MK2 difference in video quality

So my colleague and I are making an educational video for our work.

I have a Mkii and he has a T2i. We did a test shot since we'll be using both cameras for the scenes. With an identical setting on both cameras, my partner says Mkii has a much higher contrast and deeper color. Is this the expectation? What is the best way to achieve a similar color before the post processing?

You'll want to look into using a neutral picture style on both cameras. This will retain video information and allow you to grade the image consistently in post. There are picture styles online that you can download.
