I'm looking into buying a flash and am getting a little confused, because you would think camera shops would be a good place to get advice, but soooo far i even more confused. I've got a 20d, sigma 105mm macro lens and just wanting the best for my money, thnak you all.

Sigma EF-500 DG Super Flash, if you watch e-bay, 47th street photo will have them for around 180.00. Excellent flash for the money.

Brian (LordV) also uses the Sigma 500 DG Super. I use the Canon 420EX, but I think any strongish flash that will work with Canon's E-TTL will do the job for you. An important addendum to me is the off-camera flash cable - this means you need have the flash in the hot shoe on the camera, which makes for more interesting lighting.
