The Bunya Mt's a refuge of Bunya Nut Pine trees and rainforest around three hours drive from my home city of Brisbane. Trying to show off the diversity of environment with this series. C&C most welcome.

I remember this place very well. I lived in Oakey for a few years while in the Army.
Watch out for falling bunya nuts:)
Wish I had a decent camera then in 1990. You captured it well.
Do the birds still flock to you for a feed. I remember my ex wife and ex mother in law covered in parrots.

Thanks all. :-)

Desertraptor - yes they still have feeding sessions when the parrots descend but only at specific times.

Here's one more rainforest mushrooms

Absolutely love the way you got the water sprays here.
Also, your composition is well balanced but not too much and the colors are impec.
A pleasure to watch!

Garbidz glad you like the waterfall - was aiming for something showing motion but only just.

I love the mushrooms and the waterfall. I love waterfalls that aren't over-smoothed. It's a personal preference of mine, not to be confused with an absolute.

Thanks for sharing your work and country with us. (OK, a small slice of your country)

Hi hazwing, bush walking is great there lots of small medium walks. The bunya mountains are only 3hours from Brisbane toward Kingaroy. Definitely worth a trip:D
